Why You Can Give with Confidence
PEF-UK operates for public benefit with transparent governance, responsible stewardship, and a commitment to ethical leadership in every aspect of its work.
Public Benefit Statement
PEF-UK exists solely for the public benefit by supporting talented students admitted to professional universities who cannot afford their tuition fees. By helping them complete their education, we enable them to build professional careers that benefit their families and strengthen their communities. If PEF-UK is ever dissolved, our constitution requires that any remaining funds be transferred to a registered charity with similar objectives.
Governance
PEF-UK is governed by a Board of five Trustees, with all major decisions made by a majority vote. The Board is responsible for managing the foundation's assets in accordance with its Constitution and the Charities Act 2011. None of the Trustees receives any remuneration or other financial benefit from PEF-UK for serving as a Trustee. In fact, most of the Trustees are also regular donors to the foundation, demonstrating their personal commitment to its mission.
Integrity of Board of Trustees
